Mat Boards
A mat board is designed to sit in between your image and picture frame. They are generally made of a cardboard-like material and can provide an aesthetic boost to your images.
Why use a mat board?
Protection
A mat board can protect the image inside the frame from moisture damage. They provide a small gap, reducing the chance of direct contact between the image and the glass, which is where most condensation builds up. The matboard will tend to absorb moisture first, thus limiting the amount of condensation that will build up on the glass.
Decoration
In most cases, a mat board provides a visual ‘breathing space’ around the image or artwork. Using the right colours around your image can help draw your eye toward the image and accent its key colours.
Packaged For Protection
We package your prints using a combination of soft tissue paper and sturdy packaging materials to protect your prints. Generally, for sizes under A3 (42 x 29.7cm) we flat pack the prints, otherwise, they’ll be packed in strong postal tubes.
Fine-Art Paper Printing
