In the beginning, The Artist Trebor – know as Rob or Robbie at the time – created scribbles and messes. Mainly on the walls of his home just out of Wellington, New Zealand. His mum and dad eventually let him paint murals on his bedroom walls as an outlet for his desire to paint.
Through his school years he would keep drawing and painting. Able to paint portraits and still life, Trebor preferred to explore abstractions and geometric art forms, eventually looking to surrealism as a foundation for his work.
After graduating Wellington Polytechnic in 1984 with a Diploma in Visual Communication Design and Photography, he pursued a career in advertising as an Art Director. 35+ years later, Trebor has rediscovered his creative roots and embarked on a new excursion back into the world of ‘art’.
Like this daisy emerging from the brickwork, Trebor too is emerging from the hardened clay moulded corporate world, to grow and bloom and bring some visual beauty back into the world.
“Life is an ongoing exploration of things”.
This is the fertiliser that is helping Trebor flourish in this ever-changing world. His garden of creativity.
Trebor is recognised and trusted by and has exhibited at:

‘2026 Floral Portraits Calendar’
2026 Calendar with Month-To-View pages
Landscape A4 Pages (A3 when hung)
Photographed over a few years in my now late mother’s garden, this collection is a tribute to her and her love of flowers.
Shot on an iPhone 12 Pro Max, using portrait mode > stage lighting, with little or no image manipulation, these delightfully powerful images show just a little of the diversity of plants in that glorious country garden.
Roses were mum’s favourite, and I could probably fill multiple calendars with the many varieties she grew; however the colours and vibrance of all the other flowers were just as important to her.
I hope you enjoy this collection throughout the year, and please, take a little time out occasionally to stop and smell them roses.
